Stage: Outeiro-Santiago
We are now in the municipality of Boqueixón. A diversion takes us to the mythical Pico Sacro which, with its height of over five hundred metres, presides over the landscapes of the surrounding area.
Outeiro- Rubial
We leave the Town Hall of Vedra. Behind us, in San Pedro de Vilanova, very near to the route, is the house of a renowned historian of Galicia, Antonio López Ferreiro (1837-1910). Shortly afterwards we pass through Rubial.

Rubial- Santiago de Compostela
We are now in the municipality of Boqueixón. A diversion takes us to the mythical Pico Sacro which, with its height of over five hundred metres, presides over the landscapes of the surrounding area. This high hill is linked to the tradition of the Translatio of the body of the Apostle from Iria Flavia to Compostela: on its slopes grazed the fighting bulls which the disciples of Santiago subdued so that they would take the body of the saint to the sepulchre.
Leaving Rubial and Deseiro de Arriba behind, the route reaches the municipality of Santiago through A Susana. It goes back a few metres to Vedra in order Compostela through the River Sar district.
After crossing the bridge over the River Sar, we need to make a final exertion: the hard climb up the Rúa del Sar and the Rúa do Castrón Douro. On reaching the top, on the right, we pass under the arch of the Porta de Mazarelos, the only gate of the old medieval wall still standing. We take the last steps in the Plaza de la Universidade, Rúa da Caldereiría, Praza das Praterías and the Praza do Obradoiro. The journey has ended.
