Hospital da Cruz-Ligonde
We are on the Camino Frances, on the stage that starts in the village of Ligonde in the municipality of Portomarín and ends in Ligonde in the province of Lugo.
Hospital da Cruz owes its name to an ancient medieval pilgrim’s hospital. Ligonde, in the municipality of Monterroso has an ancient cemetery of pilgrims and the most famous cruceiro (stone cross) on the Camino, dating from 1670.From Ligonde there are 76 kilometers to Santiago de Compostela.
