The International Committee of Experts about the Way is born in 1992 with the aim of advising the Department of Culture of the Xunta de Galicia, on the scientific and cultural fields, for the Holy Year 1993.
The purpose of this chair is to promote the research, teaching and dissemination of knowledge of the Camino de Santiago and pilgrimages, as well as to disseminate the values associated with the pilgrimage.
Ad Limina is a scientific journal, published by Turismo de Galicia and the S.A. de Xestión do Plan Xacobeo, open to the studies of Saint James Way and, by extension, to the whole phenomenon of pilgrimage.
His unique initiative, the only one of its kind in the world, features a compilation of all the terms related to the phenomenon of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, ranging from historical figures associated with the route and famous pilgrims, to traditions, legendary sites, the ways and the towns and villages that line them...
