Between Allariz and the city of Ourense, the pilgrim crosses small hamlets with the extraordinary stonework and beauty of their houses although many of these have been abandoned.

After Allariz, the pilgrim travels on to A Frieira, crosses the parish of Santiago de Folgoso and passes by Roiriz de Abaixo, Roiriz de Arriba, Rubiás, Espiñeiros, Turzas and A Vila. Small hamlets with extraordinary stonework in the houses, although many have been abandoned.

We enter the area of Santa Mariña de Augas Santas, an interesting religious, ethnographic and archaeological complex, as well as a popular sanctuary. Santa Mariña was a martyr in the Roman era, whose life mixes legend, tradition and hagiography, as well as ancient devotion which is still alive today.

Before entering the urban nucleus of Ourense, we pass through San Breixo de Seixalbo. The city of Ourense awaits us with all its attractions: the Cathedral, a grand Romanic construction, presides its historical-artistic complex; the city also has a brilliant cultural history and is the capital of hydrotherapy. It is also outstanding for it natural landscapes irrigated by the abundant River Miño, the Roman road which crosses it and its very rich gastronomy.
