Peter Rückert (Prof. Dr.) is Archivist and Senior Director at the State Archives of Baden-Württemberg (Hauptstaatsarchiv Stuttgart) and Adjunct Professor of Medieval and Modern History at the University of Tübingen. He is a specialist for archival sources and editor of many international archival fonds. His areas of interest are church history, travel and communication history, environmental and landscape history and comparing regional history of the middle ages.
