As part of his research La Galizia nella memoria e nell’immaginario di pellegrini e viaggiatori (Galicia in the memory and imagination of pilgrims and travellers), he was awarded a two-year research fellowship from the University of Perugia for the years 2000-2001, subsequently renewed for 2002-2003. 2003-2004, 2004-2005
