Description
Cluniac monastery complex, which went through different periods of splendour, being first an abbey, later a priory and ending up, after the disestablishment of 1836, as a simple church. It was founded by the Counts of Traba or Trastámara. It is a fine example of Galician Romanesque Art. The construction is entirely in solid stone walls, with buttresses on the outside, windows open below semicircular arches, modillions and consoles supporting the roof.
