Description
Baroque manor houses that accommodate part of the collection of the provincial museum.
The Casa de Castro Monteagudo and the Pazo de García Flórez, both from the mid-18th century, are joined together by a unique modern arch.
Castro Monteagudo Building: headquarters of archaeological collections, Pre-Roman and Roman goldsmithing, popular and civil goldsmithing (Fernández de la Mora collection) and Spanish, Italian and Flemish painting of the 15th to 18th centuries.
García Flórez Building: works in jet stone, engravings, religious sculpture, Sargadelos earthenware, the office of admiral Méndez Núñez and a reproduction of the chambers of the Frigate Numancia, as well as a traditional Galician kitchen.
The Fernández López Building, on the same square as the others, houses the halls for Spanish paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries.
