The Way of Sant James

The uniqueness of the Festa da Vieira lies in the fact that it is the only festival that celebrates this mollusc, sold in the port of Tragove. This festival of gastronomic excellence also has a broad participatory character because it is organised by several organisations. Every year it attracts more than fifty thousand visitors.
A wide variety of activities take place on the days of the festival, including food tastings and competitions, sporting events such as boat races, cooking shows, sea shanties and classic boat rallies. All of these events are held in a community of great cultural, architectural and heritage value.
